Nanda Devi National Park is one of the most impressive wilderness areas in Garhwal Himalayas. It is situated in chamoli district of Garhwal Uttarnchal. It is spread over 630 sq km areas, overshadowed by the peak of Nanda Devi Peak (second highest mountain in India).It was established in 1980 to protect the high attitude Himalayan flora & fauna. The first men on record to have reached this park, while yet in its pristine form, were the the British Mountaineers Eric Shipton and Bill Tilman.

Kedarnath Sanctuary is situated in chamoli district of Garhwal Uttarnachal. Kedarnath Sanctuary was founded in 1972 lies on 967 sq kms of the Garhwal Himalayas. The wonderful stretch of the Himalayas offers a glorious view of snow-clad mountains, valleys, forests and grasslands, exotic butterflies and flowers. Malan wild life sanctuary is only about 10 km. from Kotdwar railway station which is in Pauri Garhwal district. The fauna includes Tiger, Panther, Elephant, Sloth Bear, Sambhar, Cheetal, Kakar, Cinkara, Birds and Deer Park.and many type of precious herbs & shrubs are found in it. The best season to visit is from February to April. Accommodation is available at Forest Rest Houses at Gularijhala and Haldukhata. Tourist Huts and dormitories are also available. Motichur (also known as kansro) is situated in Dehradun district. Motichur is about 60 km. from Dehra Dun. Fauna includes Panther, Elephant, Sloth Bear, Wild Bear , Wild Bear, Sambhar, Cheetal and Chinkara. The best season to visit is December to April. kms..

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary:
The Binsar wild life sanctuary encompasses an area of about 50 sq. Kms in the middle Himalaya near Almora. This tract is considered to be one of the most beautiful tracts in kumaon. The slopes vary from step to very step. The terrain has been shaped by the action of running water. The climatic conditions prevailing in the Binsar sanctuary range from temperate to sub-arctic. Winters are very cold and Heavy snowfall is received.

Askot Sanctury
Pithoragarh, the picturesque hill district of Uttaranchal Pradesh, houses amidst its greens, the Askot Sanctuary, which adds more dazzle to its already splendid beauty.
