The world’s biggest dam with height of around 830 metes and have capacity to generate around 2500 megawatts is established in the Tehri Garhwal district of Garhwal. The Tehri dam also provides clean drinking water to population 40 lakhs living in and around Delhi. Dehradun, Rishikesh and Haridwar railway station and airport have good construction of road, train and air connectivity from New Delhi.
